ABOUT US

The establishment of the Center for Language Education and Teaching Research and Application was approved in accordance with Article 7 / d-2 of the Law No. 2547 of the Law No. 2547. in the meeting of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education of Trakya University on 16/06/1995 under the structure of the Rectorate.

The Central Regulation was published in the Official Newspaper No. 22254 dated 10/04/1995

BYLAW OF THE TRAKYA UNIVERSITY LANGUAGE EDUCATION AND TEACHING RESEARCH AND APPLICATION CENTER

Establishment

Article 1- Trakya University Language Education Research and Application Center was established according to  2547 numbered Law No 2880 7 / d-2. and this center is a center for education, training, research and application that is depending on Rectorate.

The aim of the Center is to research, practice, train and teach in languages such as Turkish, English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Bulgarian, Arabic and Persian and to cooperate with foreign institutions and organizations and to organize educational and training programs in order to serve the mentioned languages.

Activities

Article 3- The Center carries out the following activities for the purpose specified in the second article.

a) The Center organizes courses, seminars, symposia and training programs in the mentioned languages.

b) The Center for the purpose cooperates with local and foreign organizations and benefits from domestic and foreign experts.

c) The Center organizes graduate courses and training programs to analyze foreign language problems that are encountered in the fields of Science, Health Sciences and Social Sciences.

d) The Center meets the demands of the various units of the university, public institutions, private and legal persons in the solution of problems related to education and training of these languages.

e) The Center is engaged in publishing activities appropriate for its purpose.

f) The Center conducts the Turkish level determination examinations of the students from the Turkish and Relative communities living in the Turkish Republics and the Balkans.

g) Provides certificates to those who successfully complete the central education programs, courses and seminars.

h) Provides the necessary tools, equipments and publications, movable and immovable assets for the purpose of the activities.

Units and Functioning

Madde 4- Management organization of the Research Center consists of the following units:

a)Director

b)Board of Directors

c)Consultative Committee

 

Director

Article 5- The Director of the Center is appointed by the Rector for two years from the faculty members of Trakya University. The expired director can be reassigned. The Director elects an assistant from the Board members. Assistant Director, does the work given by the Director and act when the Director is absent.

Duties of Director

Article 6-

a) To represent the center and to chair the Board of Directors

b) To conduct chancellery of the Center, call the Board of Directors to meeting, apply the decisions taken in the board.

c) Preparing work program and budget proposals, to submit to the approval of the Rector after being discussed in the board of directors

Board of Directors

Article 7- The Board of Directors is the decision-making unit of the Research Center and consists of 5 members, including the Director, Deputy Director and three faculty members to be elected from the relevant branches. The elected members are elected for 3 years.

Duties of the Board of Directors

Article 8-

a) The Board meets at least once a month upon the invitation of the Director.

b) Discusses and decides the offers and activities brought by the director.

c)Organizes courses, seminars and training programs.

d)Prepare the investment and expenditure programs of the center.

e) Discusses and decides the requests of the faculty members who are working for the purpose of the Center for financial support for research and publications.

Consultative Committee

Article 9- Consists of faculties and the relevant department attached to the Rectorate and heads of the department, meets at least once a year upon the invitation of the Director

Duties of the Consultative Committee

Article 10-

a) To Select members of the Board of Directors.

b) To examine the activities of the Center

c) Make suggestions

Article 11-

Apply the provisions of Law No. 2547 for issues not covered by this Regulation

Validity

Article 12- This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

Executive
